- You didn't specify your set-up, but if you're using Windows for Workgroups
- 3.11, you should be aware that the original serial.386 VxD issued an extra
- 'esc' character on exit.

- early Pentium machines contained UART cells that did; they would hang until
- the machine was re-booted.
